Starting Personal Progress

I know how hard it can be to switch from “Faith in God for Girls” to “Personal Progress.” I am a Beehive myself! I think that I would have loved to have something like this to help me when I started Personal Progress not too long ago.
To start off, I am going to give you some advice on what to start on as soon as you get your book:
1.      You should definitely start reading the Book of Mormon. I have a cousin who just completed Personal Progress as a 16-year-old Laurel. When I asked her for tips on Personal Progress she said she regrets not reading the Book of Mormon earlier because it was one of the hardest parts.
2.      You should complete all of Virtue because you can complete all of the experiences in one day and you will have already started reading the Book of Mormon. I have completed Virtue #1 and #2. I can tell you that for those ones, they are super easy and don’t require too much work.
3.      On pages 6-7 in the Personal Progress book it gives requirements to finish your Personal Progress. You should definitely start with those because, they are requirements and cannot be dismissed.
These tips could save you when you are 17 and turning 18 in one month and you need to finish Personal Progress. If you would like more tips you can totally look around here on The Personal Progress Helper and you will not be disappointed.
Because there are quite a few tough experiences out there, I went to sources and found all of the experiences that can be completed in one day. Below, there is a printable that I made that you can hang up in your room so when you have nothing to do, you can work on these.

Girls Camp 2016

So, I am now in Young Womens/Personal Progress. When you turn 12-13 year olds are Beehives, 14-15 year olds are Mia Maids, and 16-17 year olds are Laurels. Once a year, usually in June or July, the Young Women go to Girls Camp. Now that I am a Beehive, I am a first year camper at Girls Camp. Starting the month before, we started preparing to get our camp certifications. For 1st year campers, we just need to tie some knots, learn how to use a compass, etc. We worked on getting our camp certifications and afterwards we would always get some kind of treat. At the Camp Kickoff, we were told that the theme would be BOOT Camp. B uilding O n O ur T estimonies. Get it? BOOT camp? No? I'll explain it: B uilding O n O ur T estimonies Flash forward one month, we are FINALLY at girls camp! It is July 13 and we have just arrived in the fresh mountain air. We stand around for about 30 minutes and then we start setting up tents and getting our things into the tents. There were 2 tents...

Personal Progress Board

Hey! I'm finally back to blogging again! Today I am going to tell you about this amazing thing called a Personal Progress Board! So all you will need is: -A poster board from the dollar tree -A meter stick -Markers -Pencil -Personal Progress Book To start off you will need to get all of your supplies. Now, going horizontally put marks every 2 3/4 inches and going vertically put marks every 2 inches. Then makes straight lines going horizontally and vertically on those marks. You should have a 8x9 grid. After you finish that, write the names of each value going across the top. You can use the markers to make it colorful in the color if that value. For faith I put a magnifying glass. Divine Nature I didn't do a background. Individual Worth I didn't do a background. Knowledge I put green question marks all over the background. Choice and Accountability I did half orange and half white. Good Works I put a hammer hammering down a nail. Integrity I drew stick figures saying...
